Hubert Hurkacz was struggling with a back injury in March, which initially excluded him from the game. The Wrocławian used this time not only for regeneration, but above all for intensive training. After a one-and-a-half break, he returned to competition on the ground floor – during the ATP 1000 tournament in Madrid.

Wojciech Fibak expressed his fears about Hurkacz’s disposition. The legendary tennis player is worried about the 28-year-old’s health. – I’m afraid of Hubert. The consolation is that he can play, that he can run. This is important – he said in an interview with sport.pl.
“I’m not afraid for his talent, for technology, but since last year’s Wimbledon I’m afraid for his health, the consequences of what happened there (The Hurkacz suffered a knee injury there – ed.)
