Kansas City Chiefs: So Sad With shock, Brittany’s father, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, passed away. Saying: My Heart Was Disturbed…
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke briefly about his wife’s stepfather’s passing. On Sunday, he fainted on his way to a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium, and he subsequently passed away in the hospital.
Reporters asked Mahomes, “I didn’t know about it until after the game.” It was stunning when Coach [Andy] Reid genuinely informed me in the tunnel following the game. “He was a wonderful man and Brittany [Matthews] had a great stepdad in him.” She is currently back at home with her mother and her family. I will be here over the week, and I will continue to pray for them. I’m hoping to visit them during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Mahomes went to the hospital on Sunday instead of doing his usual postgame press conference. Matthews used Instagram to share the news of her stepfather’s passing.
