A Twitter user recently took to her social media handle to share a sketch of the 2nd-ranked tennis player. She wrote with some beautiful pictures of the sketch, “Likes and rts are appreciated!!! Hope Coco can see this.” Looking into that, the 20-year-old tennis player reshared the post and was mesmerized by the sketch. Gauff wrote, “This is amazing! so talented! Thank you.”

A few months ago, Tennis Channel’s official Instagram page posted a video in which viewers saw Coco Gauff proudly wearing a bracelet that a young admirer had given her. In the video, the interviewer asked Gauff, “Let’s talk about this bracelet that you are wearing. You wanna share with people?”

In response, the reigning US Open champion said, “Yeah, a lil girl gave me this bracelet. I used to make these when I was younger, so it’s giving me flashbacks, and we kinda traded—I gave her my headband for the bracelet. She didn’t ask for the headband, but there’s no point in taking it without giving something in return.”
