Travis Kelce Left stunned as Jason Sudeikis Asks When he is Going to PROPOSE to Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce was hesitant when Jason Sudeikis questioned about his plans to propose to girlfriend Taylor Swift. The Chiefs tight end and the Ted Lasso actor collaborated on a sketch at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend charity event in Kansas City on Saturday night, in which Sudeikis asked the player some awkward questions.
‘Hey Travis, real chat OK, just the guys here,’ the comedian, who was wearing a fake mustache, aviator-style shades, and a cap, continued. ‘Hey … “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” he asked the Love Story singer, sliding his spectacles down his nose. The audience at the T-Mobile Center clapped as Kelce smiled and scratched his face in reaction to the question, but made no comment.
‘Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore,’ Sudeikis continued, laughingly adding, ‘I know your kicker agrees with me.’ Sudeikis’ subtle dig at Kelce’s teammate Harrison Butker, who came under criticism for stating female college grads should embrace becoming ‘homemakers’ rather than pursuing a profession, drew a loud applause from the audience.
In a social media video aired earlier in the evening, the three-time Super Bowl champion was seen pumping himself up backstage. “It’s about to get crazy; this is going to get f**king crazy.” I’m not sure what I’m ready for right now, but I’m ready to have some fun,” Kelce added.
Patrick Mahomes, his teammate, was also in there to support the charity event, as were celebrities Paul Rudd, Fortune Feimster, Eric Stonestreet, and Heidi Gardner. It comes just a few weeks after a source revealed Kelce has no intentions to propose to Swift in the near future.
Travis has no plans to propose to Taylor,’ a source told Us Weekly last month. ‘It is not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes extremely seriously, and he would never get into it without considerable deliberation,’ they continued. A separate insider stated that the athlete ‘cares very deeply’ about the Cruel Summer hitmaker, but ‘he’s just not there yet’ when it comes to proposing.
